Learning Gardens Laboratory (LGL)

The Learning Garden Laboratory is an 11-acre garden education site located in Southeast Portland that provides K-12, undergraduate, and graduate students hands on experience and education in sustainable gardening and healthy nutrition. At the Learning Gardens Laboratory, students will tend the garden and develop materials or conduct research to assist in the promotion, understanding, and management of the garden. Students may also work with the diverse stakeholders and local neighborhood associated with Learning Gardens. Not only does the student work benefit the surrounding communities, but their work will contribute to the written policies and procedures of the Learning Gardens Lab.
