Call for Industry Partners - DISC Internship Program (2025-2026)
The Discover Internships for Semiconductor Careers (DISC) Program connects undergraduate students majoring in STEM disciplines to internships in advanced manufacturing and technology.
We are seeking Industry Partner Companies and Mentors to provide guidance and mentorship throughout the 9-month internship projects. PSU will support Industry Partners, Industry Mentors, and Interns through mentor training, events, and individualized student mentoring. Our staff will also help interns reflect on their career pathways and explore connections to advanced manufacturing and technology.
Student Financial Support
DISC Internships are paid opportunities supported through partnerships with companies and donors. Interns will receive compensation for three terms. Rates may vary slightly between placements but total compensation will be between $9,000 and $11,000 for the academic year, depending on company requirements.
Important Notes:
Indicate how many interns you can host for each project. For example, your R&D project may support two interns, while your manufacturing project may support one intern.
Interns will work 10–12 hours per week on your internship project (a total of 300-350 hours).
Submitting this form expresses interest in hosting a DISC Intern, but placements depend on student interest and site needs. We cannot guarantee an intern.
You are not obligated to accept an intern if none of our candidates match your preferences during the matching process.
DISC interns are undergraduate students—please keep this in mind as you complete the internship summary and project description.
Application deadline: August 31, 2025.
