Eligibility
To be eligible for the DISC program, applicants must:
Have an interest in advanced STEM manufacturing and technology careers
Be enrolled at PSU for the 26-27 academic year (Fall, Winter, & Spring, minimum 4 credits each term) or be transfer student from a local community college with a winter transfer date to PSU.
Have a class standing of Sophomore or higher. Please note, priority may be given to Juniors and Seniors.
Undergraduate students only (post-bacs can apply). Applications from graduate students will be ignored.
Have a projected graduation date no earlier than Spring 2027.
Majors/Intended Majors: All STEM majors/minors are eligible.
There is no GPA requirement.
If you applied earlier and weren't placed in an internship, you are welcome to apply again.
If you are a DISC Intern in Cohort 1 or 2, you can apply for Cohort 3, but priority will be given to applicants who were not part of Cohort 1.
International students are eligible and can apply. Please note, you will need to go through a process called Curricular Practical Training (CPT). Students are required to take a 1-credit internship course with the associated fees (DISC can't cover the fee). Find more information here.
The DISC program is open to all. Students from a variety of backgrounds and cultures are especially encouraged to apply.
