Department Schedulers can request access by completing an OAM Access Request for Cognos in the Odin Account Manager at oam.pdx.edu. Please note, you will want to check both the General and Student checkboxes in the request. Detailed instructions for the access request can be found on the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Cognos help article.. This service requires a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection when connecting from off campus. Instructions can be found on the OIT VPN help article.
After receiving access confirmation, go to the Cognos website and login with your Odin login and password. Click on the Academic Scheduling or Student folder. To run a report, click on the report name. Enter all required prompts and any additional prompts if necessary. Click the Finish button on the bottom of the page to run the report. You can view the results in PDF or Excel formats by clicking on the View in HTML Format icon.
To see when the last time the information was refreshed, see the Last Refreshed box for dates and times. For questions on reports, email OIT-BISupport-Group@pdx.edu or fill out a Cognos Support Request Form.
Please note: course changes made in Banner get updated in Cognos overnight. If you submit a change, but don't see it on a report, please rerun it the next day. Changes can be verified in the Registration Hub on the same day they're made.
