2024 Summer Research Academy
The Center for Internship, Mentoring, and Research (CIMR) is hosting the 2024 Summer Research Academy (SRA) on June 18, 20, and 21, 2024* at the PSU Smith Memorial Student Union Ballroom (3rd floor).
The mission of SRA is to provide an event where undergraduate students have the opportunity to learn more about how they can get involved with research at the undergraduate level at PSU and OHSU!
*Please note: There is no SRA programming on June 19th due to the Juneteenth Holiday. PSU will be closed for the holiday.
What is the Summer Research Academy?
Summer Research Academy (SRA) is designed to engage undergraduate students interested in making a difference in their communities by pursuing research opportunities in STEM, biomedical, behavioral, clinical, health, and social sciences. Students do not have to have prior research experience to participate!
The goals of SRA are to provide undergraduate students an introduction to what research is, how it’s developed and conducted, and where to find relevant research opportunities! Participants will hear from a range of professional researchers in their respective fields, panel discussions by undergraduate and graduate students involved in research, and get to know the different undergraduate research opportunities available at PSU and other universities.
At this 3-day event, participants will:
Improve their understanding of research
Increase awareness of research opportunities
Be introduced to research career paths and meet professionals
Connect with professional development opportunities and events related to research
Participants will receive $250 for attending all 3-days of programming (June 18, 20, and 21, 2024). Breakfast/lunch and snacks are provided!
