Yes, Mayfield has a Regional Arts program but there are SO MANY arts activities that you can be involved in even if you aren't in the RAP program.

• The Music and Drama programs produce two full musicals every year. You can audition to be onstage, or help out backstage in any number of roles (crew, makeup, hair, set design, tech, sound/lighting...you name it!)

• There are many ensembles in Music - choirs, bands, vocal jazz groups and more - that you can be a part of!

• The Drama department produces a number of short plays as part of the NTS (National Theatre School) Festival each year. You can audition to be a part of one of these productions, or you can help out backstage!

• The Drama department has an awesome Improv Team as well!

• The Dance department has several extracurricular Dance companies that you can be a part of!

• The Visual Arts department produces several displays and shows each year.

Mayfield has so many sports teams at all levels - far too many to mention. From traditional team sports (football, rugby, hockey, volleyball, field hockey), to less smaller team or individual sports (rowing, archery, badminton), Mayfield has it all!

If you aren't an artist or an athlete, you still have the opportunity to get involved in some awesome clubs and student organizations. To name a few:

• The Black Student Association - all students are welcome!

• Student Activity Council - plan, organize and run events for the students in our school.

• Community Corner - organize, decorate and plan themes related to inclusion, equity and diversity.

• Reach for the Top - Trivia competition team!

• Hear4YOUth - mental healt and well-being activities, planned by youth for youth.

• Chess Club - come and meet your chess match!

• Mayfield Gives - student-run charity initiatives promoting equity and social justive

• Eco Club - a group that is passionate about the environment and a greener future

• Pre-Med Club - for students interested in the medical field

• Culture and Humanities Club - a club to plan activities for the months of recognition throughout the year.

• STEMinist Club - a club for females interested in careers and opportunities in STEM.

• Fashion - a student-led initiative to explore historical and current fashion trends.

• Muslim Student Association - students honour Islamic heroes, and partake in Friday prayers.

• Justice League (GSA) - focussed on exploring topics surrounding the LGBTQ+ community.
