What is a Small Group Session at the Wellness Center?
Students who come for a Small Group Session come for several different reasons. They include:
Discussions with Mrs. Henry
Assistance navigating a problem or obstacle
A quiet place to relax and destress
To calm down by coloring or using a relaxation tool (stress balls, putty, fidgets, etc.)
To plan group work or work on a collaborative project
Group study session for a quiz or test
To learn coping skills and strategies for dealing with normal student stressors
A safe place to share thoughts or opinions
Problem solving
Peer Mediation and/or Conflict Resolution
Navigating relationships and personal connections
*Please note the Wellness Center is not a Crisis or Counseling Center. If a student presents as needing more targeted assistance, a school counselor will be contacted for more in-depth services.
How Do I Book a Small Group Session?
These sessions can be booked using PCTVS Wellness Center Bookings LINK and must be booked 12 hours in advance. Be sure to click on Mrs. Henry's name and the date you wish to attend. Available times will be posted. Include the names of the students who will be attending with your small group in the Comments Section. Please be aware that times vary from day-to-day due to class visits and scheduled groups. You are also welcome to stop by Room B103 at any time to schedule an appointment.
