About Me

About me

Hello! My name is Savannah. I am a Sophomore in high school and sewing is one of my favorite hobbies! For my Girl Scout Gold Award Project, I sewed Medical Play Dolls for children in Primary Children's Hospital located in Salt Lake City, Utah. I sewed and donated 500 dolls, including the gowns, this year. All of my supplies were donated from Westgate Park City including sheets (to make the body), sewing machines, and thread. The polyfill and fun fabric were donated by other Girl Scout Troops and local organizations. To keep this project sustainable I created this website and had the Home Economics class at the local junior high make Medical Play Dolls as their semester final project. Joining together Westgate Park City and Treasure Mountain Junior High gave this project a future and helped establish a friendship between the school district and a business eager to help an amazing cause and local community. The dolls will be made and donated twice a year as each semester ends.
