What is Canvas?
Canvas is a Learning Management Platform (LMS) or software app based virtual classroom. This platform enables students to view their courses, assignments, class discussion boards, quizzes, tests, grades, collaboration documents, and quickly access their Google Drive.
When logged into Chrome, students log into Canvas through Google Apps Launcher (Waffle) on Chromebooks, Windows, and Mac computers at the top right corner of the browser window next to the student's profile picture. On iPads, the login is different. Please see info below for more information on how to login with each device.
Why was Canvas chosen over other platforms (Google Classroom, Moodle, Seesaw)?
Canvas provided a consistent space for learning, that easily integrates with Google applications, other digital tools used by teachers and students, and links with MISTAR for grades and attendance.

Please note that students and families will need to access the MISTAR Parent Portal to retrieve student Google login credentials before beginning. For more information on how to register students and navigate MISTAR, visit the MISTAR & Google Info page on this site.
