The district will provide bussing services to families from centralized locations (to be determined once registration closes). When filling out the registration form, there is a question where you can indicate if you need bussing. Once the window for registration closes, bussing routes will be developed, and bussing information will be shared with those families requiring transportation.

Get your creative juices flowing with Creative Writing Camp! In this camp, young authors will explore a variety of genres and styles of writing, including poetry, journaling, and short stories. The focus is on creative thinking, as well as developing students’ individual voices, craft, and writing style. Students will receive a writer’s notebook as part of this camp and participate in a writing celebration on our last day.

This will be a fun experience for kids to explore and learn the basics of writing. Each student will be writing various pieces each day. Your child will go through the writing process with one of his/her pieces and make a published book. We will also be participating in fun interactive activities like singing, playing various games, and movement activities to make this class a fun and impactful

In this course, students will be concentrating on nonfiction text. Students will learn about the benefits and uses of text features. We will learn how to read and utilize them to positively impact reading comprehension. Students will also create their own non-fiction text with illustrated text features. The APUSH Summer Writing program will prepare students for written portions of the AP United States History Exam. We will cover basic information regarding the exam, then study and practice Short Answer, Long Essay, and Document Based Questions. Particular focus will be placed on Thesis writing. Students will hone their writing skills through practicing the skills taught, grading essays written by other students, as well as learning the major themes of the AP US History curriculum. Successful completion of this program will help students to enter the school year prepared for what many students consider to be one of the more challenging aspects of AP US History.
Want to get started early on AP World History? This camp is for you! During this session, 9th grade students who have signed up for AP World History will get an introduction to the College Board rubrics. We will practice the skills needed to do well on the AP Exam next May.

Asian American Pacific Islanders have been a part of the American story since our colonial past. This course will explore the immigration history of Asian Americans. Through a closer investigation, we will learn how America shaped these newcomers as well as how the nation was in turn shaped by these immigrants from Asia. As immigration from Asia continues to flourish, we will explore the themes of culture, identity and what it means to be American as we uncover the promises and challenges of the AAPI identity.

Medical professionals will present to students for the first portion of the meeting. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions to the professionals for the second portion. Have you ever wanted to develop your own photos in a real darkroom? Students in this 2-week camp will do just that. The first few days, you’ll learn how to use a film camera, taking photos around the P-CEP campus and in our lighting studio. By the end of the first week, you will be developing the film and making black and white 8x10 prints from your negatives. Time permitting, you will try several experimental techniques, like photograms and combining negatives. At the end of the course, you will have a portfolio of prints to take home with you.

This 2 week camp will introduce students to SAT test taking strategies for the reading, writing and language, math no calculator, and math calculator portion of the test. We will then see how these strategies are used in the context of the SAT. Finally, students will be given a chance to practice using the strategies. In addition to strategies, students will be given mini lessons on grammar and mathematics so they can stay fresh on the content that the SAT assess most often.
