Chesed, the fourth Sephirah on the Tree of Life, is known as "Mercy" or "Loving-Kindness." It represents expansion, generosity, and the outpouring of love and abundance. In Hermetic Qabalah, Chesed embodies the principle of creation, growth, and benevolence. It’s the force that allows life to flourish, offering support, protection, and nurturing energy.

Chesed is associated with Jupiter, the planet of abundance, and symbolizes the expansive, giving nature of the universe. It’s the counterpart to Geburah (Strength), balancing its strictness with compassion and mercy. While Geburah imposes limits, Chesed pushes those boundaries outward, encouraging creativity, trust, and the free flow of energy.

In Chesed, we learn the power of unconditional love and kindness. It teaches that true strength lies not only in setting boundaries but in knowing when to show mercy and understanding.
