On a desktop computer or laptop...
Log in to MyPCC (www.my.pcc.edu)
On the left side under "PCC Sites," click on EAB Navigate"
4. Near the top-middle, click on "Planner"
1. On the right side, click the "hamburger icon" to add a new term
Choose the term(s) that you'd like to plan out
2. You have two options how to plan courses. Visit the section you want to try.
This is best for people who have an idea what PCC program or transfer major they are interested in. Choosing one of the templates you find here is helpful to see what you need and how courses you've completed count. Meeting with an advisor to discuss which template is best for you will help ensure you take only the courses you need.
Don't see a template that matches your goal? It's okay! That's a good reason to talk to an advisor.
Exploring what you want to do? No problem! Meet with an advisor to make a plan for that.
Search by Keyword: Searches for ALL courses at PCC based on a few key searches.
You might use this because you already known what you want to take. You may have gotten a list of courses you need from your advisor. Sometimes the templates above don't fit your goals. No probem! Adding courses to a plan is simple.
On the left, click "Course Catalog"
Click "Search for Courses"
3. When you've found a course you want, click the box next to it.
4. Scroll up, chose the term you want to add to your plan
5. Click "Add to Term.
The sections below will explain what each search does.
Tip: It can be hard to see the middle section. You can hide/expand the Planning Tools section and My Academic Plan section clicking on the arrows in those sections.
Don't forget to expand them afterwards. ;)
Search by Keyword: This isn't the best way to search for courses since PCC has many. Be careful when using this because you may see a lot of results that don't help you with your goals. A better way to search for a course may be to use the PCC catalog search (catalog.pcc.edu/course-search/ ).
Course Code: You need to know the subject and course number and type it in capital letters like WR121 (with no spaces). Most helpful if you already know the course you need.
It's also the fastest way to add a course you already know you need. Typically students who have already met with an advisor can make quick use of this search.
Subject: Search by course subject name. Like "Writing" or "Psychology"
This search is best used if you know the name of the course you need, but forgot the course number. In this example, you'd see every psychology course PCC offers. However, not all courses may count towards your goal.
Credits: You can filter courses out by the lowest or highest class credit amount.
This is helpful when you combine this filter with a subject search or course attribute filter (below). If you're trying to find a course that's worth exactly 3 credits then Set the "from" to 3 and the "to" 3 credits as well.
Tip: It's also really easy to filter out too many courses. If you don't see enough results, you may have to relax some of the filters you've setup.
Course Attribute: You can search for general education group to meet PCC's degree requirements. These course groups are used to earn a degree at PCC. Sometimes courses required at PCC do not count the same way at another college. Do work with an advisor to better understand what you actually need to transfer to another college because their requirements are different than ours.
Tip: Adding more than one course attribute will show you ALL of the courses that count toward every attribute you've chosen.
Most popular course groups to search for:
AL = the new Arts and Letters general education course group.
DIV = the Cultural Diversity course group
LABS = the new Lab Sciences course group requirement
LDC = the Lower Division Collegiate course group (sometimes called electives)
SCI = the new Science & Math General Education Group
SS = the new Social Science general education course group
Other Helpful Searches:
Best used with Subject or Course search. This is experimental and work in-progress. The result here are not the best because all it means is ONE of the course sections may use low cost course materials, but not all the courses offered in a term may do the same. The best way to find low cost resources is to use the course schedule site (www.pcc.edu/search)
$40 or Under = the courses uses books and other materials that cost $40 or less.
Zero Cost = the course materials do not have additional costs (uses free course materials like books that are found online)
Experimental searches: This is a work in-progress. Use with caution as we cannot guarantee it's accuracy at this point.
Search for courses based on modality (how the course meets)
Fully in-person
Fully online
In-person + Online

Program Specific Groups: Only use these groups with the guidance from an advisor.
COOP = the cooperative education course group
PT01 = Professional Technical course group
