This week was an interesting week for myself. I had to have surgery that kept me home all week but I felt determined to be able to accomplish this weeks photography task. I chose to not go too far but used the Lilac bushes in my backyard. May is my favorite time of the year because these bushes begin to bloom and don't last long so I wanted to capture the beautiful purple color. I chose to do a higher aperture to get the blur of the background and to focus on the flowers themselves. I used a 1.8 50mm lens for the photo and tried a few different angles and I found this one to be my favorite. I really enjoy taking close up high aperture photos and I had fun doing this project, even with my limited mobility currently.
I decided to choose this project as one of my re-works. I decided to try a different angle that showed more of the scene. I wanted to show more and keep the focus of the image on the flowers and keep the background blurred. I like how this photo turned out. I think both photos are appleasing to look at in their own way. I'm happy with my choice of a re work and proud of both images!
