Artists Statement,
Throughout this course we worked with digital media and photography. We explored multiple mediums of photography such as landscape, still image, portraiture and learning the basics of a camera such as the camera obscura project. Throughout this course I tried to focus on using aperture as a tool to help me create my images. Aperture allows me as an artists to capture the focus of the image to one specific detail, or allows the ability to open up and display a entire scene. For me, the most important aspect of this course and time spent was that I wanted to focus on the passion that once brought me to photography. This class allowed me to open up as an artists and regain my focus. I especially took to heart the portraiture project and decided to use myself as my model. Only helping me overcome insecurities as not only a person but an artists. This class helped me take steps in a new direction and give me focus to keep learning and growing as a photographer.Â
