PCC offers more than fifty short-term Career Pathways certificates (12-44 credits) that lead to jobs and degrees. Every student in the Career Pathways & STEP program is connected with a coach who will work with you one-on-one to:
Navigate the college environment
Find the best educational path for the career you want
Achieve your college and career goals
Connect you with available financial resources
Find in-demand internships and jobs

If you are eligible for federal financial aid and are working on your first college degree or certificate, you may be able to apply if you identify with any of the following:
First-generation college student
Students with a documented disability
Low-income student
TRIO SSS provides:
Advisors with small caseloads for highly personalized support
Tuition-free courses in study skills, financial literacy, and writing for scholarships
Dedicated math and writing tutors
Financial aid and scholarship application assistance
A strong sense of community and mentorship opportunities with other current and former TRIO students

Future Connect is a scholarship and support program for students who identify as first-generation or low-income. We focus on eliminating barriers to college, and provide students with on-going support throughout their time at PCC.

The Men of Color Leadership Program combines college credit courses with student development resources. Participants earn 7 college transferable tuition free credits in CG 140A Career and Life Planning and CG 191 Exploring Identity and Diversity. Classes support knowledge and skill building around various topics including:
Academic success
Demystifying and navigating college demands and expectations
Men’s health and wellness
Exploring identity, race, gender, culture, society, individual transformation, and social change.

The College Assistance Migrant Program, referred to as CAMP, is a federally-funded program designed to support students from migrant and seasonal farm worker backgrounds during their first year in college. The program provides students with both financial assistance and support services, with the goal of preparing them to continue their education at a four-year college or university. CALI is committed to provide support and guidance to Latino/a/x and Indigenous (Mexico, Central and South American and the Caribbean) students seeking to further their education at PCC by completing a certificate, degree and/or transfer to a four-year university. Rise to Teach is a partnership initiative between PCC, Portland State University (PSU), Portland Public Schools (PPS), and Beaverton School District (BSD). With a special focus on recruiting culturally diverse, underrepresented students to the teaching profession, the program offers a supported, affordable college pathway to a career as a licensed K-12 teacher.
