This quarter's Printmaking class really lived up to the Digital and Traditional Methods focus. They quickly adapted the ways they incorporated printmaking techniques to the home studio. They utilized traditional techniques like linocut and screen-printing but combined them with digital imaging using Photoshop, Illustrator and other programs. Students worked on increasing their ability to work in Photoshop as a digital prepress. They explored different ways to create layers photomechanically that can then be printed by hand. You can also see from the variety showcased here that students continued to push their own artistic development, asked to propose their own final projects based on the ideas they wanted to communicate.
