Proposition A

Proposition A includes four capital improvement projects and other district needs. Here you can view the site plans for all projects and what they can bring for the district! Remember, PBTISD can fund ALL PROPOSITIONS while maintaining the current tax rate.

The total for Proposition A is $411, 580,000.

PECOS HIGH SCHOOL REPLACEMENT

With the May 2023 Bond, the Pecos High School Replacement will keep Pecos High School at its current site. Where it has been for the last 73 years. Most importantly, the PHS Replacement will bring the school under one roof with the utilization of a sky-walk bridge to each building! Also included in the PHS Replacement:

**The PHS Replacement will not be completed all at once! It will be completed in phases so no student learning/organizations will be displaced at any time during construction.**

Proposition B includes a Natatorium replacement! View what the PHS site plan looks like with that included here.

CROCKETT MIDDLE SCHOOL COMPREHENSIVE ADDITIONS/RENOVATIONS

With the May 2023 Bond, the Crockett Middle School Comprehensive Additions and Renovations will allow for extensive internal repairs and renovations. This will keep CMS at its current site and still make use of facilities added in 2008! Also included in the CMS Additions/Renovations

**The CMS Additions/Renovations will not be completed all at once! No student organizations will be displaced at any moment during construction phases.**

PBTISD PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & PARENT SUPPORT CENTER

With the opening of the new Austin Elementary (Pre-K to 1st grade), the existing 3rd Grade wing and Cafeteria space will remain.

Through the May 2023 Bond, PBTISD will be able to renovate the existing structure of the 3rd Grade wing and turn it into a professional development center for staff to bring world-class training to PBTISD! Currently, staff occasionally have to travel an hour and a half to Midland/Odessa for certain trainings. With a training facility in PBTISD, we will be able to save the hassle of travel for our staff!

Additionally, the facility will also act as a parent support center! PBTISD will be able to create a centralized place for parents to attend special meetings, help with registration and other paperwork, or just a center with access to digital devices!

PBTISD TRANSPORTATION ADDITIONS/RENOVATIONS

In the Fall of 2022, when the former Volunteer Firehouse ceased operations, the district acquired the building on the property adjacent to the current district transportation facility. With the passage of Prop A, the district will be able to renovate the building to provide mechanical shop space, add a fuel depot, and pave the areas of the transportation lot, which are currently dirt and gravel.

Additionally, as the district continues to grow, having the space ready for growth of fleet is very beneficial.
