gIVE kIDS sIGHT dAY - October 3rd
"For the past 17 years, Wills Eye Hospital has partnered with OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, the School District of Philadelphia, and hundreds of dedicated volunteers to provide children with access to free, comprehensive vision care.
Held annually each fall, the event serves children 17 years of age and younger from Philadelphia and the surrounding counties who have not received an eye examination or who did not pass a vision screening. Wills Eye Hospital proudly provides these services at no cost, regardless of a child's insurance status. Since 2009, more than 14,000 children have received free eye care through this community initiative."

"The Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program provides vaccines to children who do not have health insurance. Children who are insured but whose insurance does not cover immunizations are also eligible to receive federally funded vaccines at public sites, including Federally Qualified Health Centers and Rural Health Clinics. For more information regarding PA’s VFC Program, contact 1-888-646-6864. "
