I believe CAS is an amazing and integral part of the IB curriculum, molding well rounded students who not only excel in academics, but are well developed outside of the classroom too. CAS is centered around experiences, and it has pushed me to pursue and develop my passions in art and teaching as well as provided me with excuses and opportunities to venture out of my comfort zone, particularly with collaborative projects and public speaking. As an IB student, my mind has been conditioned to leap at nearly every opportunity that comes my way with very little hesitation, my reasoning being 'It can be for CAS', treating it almost like a game or a challenge to fulfill as many hours as possible. This has encouraged me to participate in a variety of activities, most of which I never thought I would try.
