I completed a cross exposure training and observational study, with the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), in New Delhi, India, for the period 2nd June 2019 till 8th July 2019. I worked in the Project Group handling the Freight Operations Information System (FOIS), which comprised training in the Rake Management System (RMS) for handling the operation of freight trains and the Terminal Management System (TMS) pertaining to commercial transactions such as freight invoicing, payment gateways, etc. The FOIS provides information at all levels for Indian Railways and its customers. I worked under Mr SS Mathur (General Manager Corporate Coordination ). Our work was focused on algorithms and computer programs that help discover the most optimal route trains could take to ferry coal consignments. These algorithms assist Indian Railways managers to dynamically optimise resources like wagons, locomotives, crew, and network paths.
Worked on exploring the role of technology in the financial markets over the years and developing essential skills for writing. Also, I researched the banking sector and its interrelation with technology in current events through CTO, NBFCs, CIOs etc.
I was also given an opportunity to publish on Cryptocurrency

At the start of 2019, Venya and I volunteered to work at a government hospital which also counted as a certificate internship. During our time at Safdarjung Hospital, which is also Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College, we visited different hospital wards, studied anatomy using cadavers and viewed different diagnostic procedures and the need for organ donation at the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization(NOTTO).
The internship was a turning point in our interest in Life Sciences. It humbled us and informed us of the needs of others. This realization has since driven every effort we have made to succeed and give back to society. Our internship molded us into individuals who are determined to positively impact the lives of others with our future endeavors in the field of Life Sciences.
I did a 2 week internship with the service division of MindTree Ltd. In Bangalore where I researched within applied sociology and development, focusing on the use of Platforms - such as those for transportation, retail, and media - as public goods with the potential to address the urgent aims of the sustainable development goals. I applied Platform Design principles as prototype solutions to chronic societal problems, focusing on SDG 2 (Zero hunger), SDG 8 (Decent work and economic growth) and SDG 17 (Partnership for the goals). I then explored how these could be integrated publicly across India to increase development and access to opportunities, and change our socioeconomic landscape.
