Schedule / Sessions

Presentation Sessions

Many thanks to everyone who has offered their time and expertise to help make this years' LKSW a success. There will be 2 Keynotes and 9 sessions, spread across the 2 conference days, and these will be made up of a variety of presentations. There are 'SLAM' talks, where people will be offering a 5 minute snapshot of something they are interested in or are actively doing in their library spaces along with longer, more in-depth presentations, where there will be time to offer more detail about areas of interest from the vast array of school libraries across the region.

THURSDAY 8th November

School Library Tours

The following tours have been arranged and signed up for - they both promise to be excellent days . The schools will be visited in the running order listed. Our sincere thanks go to the Librarians and staff at each of the schools, who have allowed us the opportunity to visit them, take photos and ask lots of questions.

We are hoping to be able to spend about an hour at each school, however, the schedule could vary, depending on the traffic conditions encountered on the day, as Bangkok is notorious for throwing various travel 'spanners' in the works - no matter how carefully you plan!

Library Tour A - Skytrain/BTS Route

Library Tour B - Bus Route

The 'Bus' Library Tour will leave Patana at 06:45, while the 'BTS' Library Tour will depart around 07:00. They will return to BPS after 16:30, before heading back to the Novotel - both are going to be full days, with lots to see. There will be transfers to and from the Novotel Bangna on the day for those staying there - the morning buses will leave for BPS at 06:20, with the aim of getting the 'Bus Tour' started as early as possible.

The schedule is as follows, although please bear in mind that the times are approximate and subject to change on the day ... all depending on the vagaries of the Bangkok traffic.
