With this climate of COVID 19, online teaching is a must by almost all teachers. Being a teacher leader inspires me to make sure that I am better prepared to serve our students and contribute to colleagues when possible.

Modeling in Chemistry, helps students make the connections in Chemistry with the math and application of the concepts. This online training was suggested by other Noyce Fellows. The AMTA community shares teaching strategies and host monthly check ins that has benefited my students, especially my students that struggle the most.

This 5 day training focused on building shared experiences while emphasizing that we can use the community to refine our thinking. Also, conceptual understanding only comes through Concrete Representational and Abstract (CRA) investigation but CRA is most powerful when 2 or 3 happens at once. Click Example lesson
