Use of Implementation Cycle:
During one of our meetings last year, the CAC celebrated our CREST win for the fifth year in a row and for qualifying for the Advocacy level of the CREST award. We were awarded a mini grant in which our school district's Education Foundation paid for the social-emotional learning curriculum through Second Step. The Second Step program was implemented during the 2021-2022 school year. Our focus was to utilize the program to support students in the areas of conflict resolution and social skills development. As a result, our campus experienced a decrease in office referrals from the Fall semester to the Spring semester by 10%. Based on the effectiveness of the Second Step program, we have decided to continue the use of the program and apply for another grant for the 2022-2023 school year.
