GROWTH! Our motto this year was pushed of be pushed. We pushed the kids to their limits and by the end they learned to push back! They learned to be the team that pushes and does NOT get pushed. This season the team had a record of 18-17. In district we finished 8-4, where 3 of those games were lost by less than 10 points. There was a 10 percent growth in victories, which put the Mavs on the continual path of success for the future. With only 2 seniors on the squad, we were young but full of energy. We took some hard lessons that will only help improve our game. We played really good teams this year to help us get better. Even though the final score did not go our way, didn't mean we didn't win those games. Returning will be performance leader Gwen McGrew who led the team in almost every stat. Also returning for their senior year will be Baba Hazar the motor of the team, Denisse Rodrigues our locker room leader, Abby Ramirez and Victoria Rodriguez who are tea, defensive specialist. We will also return sharp shooter Natalie Pineda and taking big responsibilities Cassandra Perez. We are also looking for big things from freshman Emma Reeves who was called up mid season. This team should be loaded and ready for a new year and promising season.
