Each CEDP school is encouraged to select two student projects. These can be individual, partners or small group projects.
Schools are encouraged to have their students present project work or units of work they have engaged with in Term 1, Term 2 or at the beginning of Term 3 this year.
Schools do not need to create a specific learning activity or unit of work for STEM MAD as the learning showcase is a platform for students to share what they have learned and how this learning makes or can make a difference.
To support this thinking, below are some guiding questions to provide further clarity for schools:
What Science, Technology, Design and/or Mathematics learning experiences have your students undertaken?
How might this learning/artefact make a difference? Either now? Or in the future?
What challenges and /or opportunities have you encountered throughout the project?
What did you learn or could others learn from your STEM based learning activity?
What advice might you have for others?
No - The showcase is a platform for students to showcase their learning. All participating students will receive feedback on their projects. Students may receive an acknowledgment award from CEDP Staff or be awarded the student choice award, however, there will not be a winning project.
Students will also have the opportunity to be invited to present their learning at the STEM Mad National Showcase on 6th September 2022 in Melbourne or online.
