Chapter 7 After leaving Ms. Planter’s Apartment, Jaris went to the sheriff’s office to figure about both James Webster and the rock smashing windshield incident. And after Sheriff didn’t gave Jaris advice about both incident since he didn’t know Webster or the windshield breaking, Jaris went back to the cavern to meet again with Harry, but he didn’t work their anymore. So Jaris went to Harry’s house to see him, but he told Jaris to stop bothering him.
Chapter 8 Ms. Thau pulled Jaris out of the class to tell him to not publish the story which made Jaris discouraged. And after leaving work at the computer store, the two men from earlier took Jaris to an expensive car where Jaris had a chat with Mr. Morgan. Morgan told her to drop the story and then give her some money.
Chapter 9/10 After passing up on the money, Mr. Morgan told his perspective on the James Webster Incident. And Jaris was speechless after Mr. Morgan told him the whole truth about James Webster. After hearing the whole truth, Jaris ends his investigation on James Webster because He now has it all. The next day Nate Benedict called Jaris to meet at the Indianhead Point of the Brazos River even though Jaris stopped looking for him. After making it to the Brazos River, He spotted a guy with a long beard who told his story about his life and family. And after listening to his story Jaris realized who he was.
