INSPIRE

Investigating New Solutions for Problems in Real-world Experiences.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Team INSPIRE is committed to empowering scholars to develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and collaboration through hands-on, real-world learning opportunities. We strive to cultivate a culture of inquiry and lifelong learning by providing opportunities for scholars to explore their interests and passions while engaging with complex, meaningful problems.  We believe that every scholar has unique strengths and talents that can be leveraged to create innovative solutions to real-world challenges. Team INSPIRE fosters a growth mindset, where mistakes are viewed as opportunities for learning, and perseverance and resilience are valued.

Through our project-based approach, scholars will develop essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, and teamwork, while also gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. Our goal is to empower scholars to become active, engaged citizens who are capable of making a positive impact on their communities and the world.  We will provide deeper learning opportunities for scholars through the promotion of the following key skills for future success:

Scholars in the INSPIRE program will be expected to work collaboratively within a group setting on multiple projects in addition to the standard grade level requirements.  This will require a willingness to learn, self-motivation, and adherence to deadlines.  Scholars will also, occasionally, need to communicate with individuals and organizations beyond the walls of our school as well as participate in and benefit from various field experiences.  Completed projects will be published in a variety of unique ways that often require presenting before various audiences.
