Motifs

A motif in this book is hatred. Throughout the book, relationships are made. Alexis used to hate Megan and all her friends, but she figured out the part she hated. She hated how their lives seemed perfect even though they treated her badly. Then, when she got to know Megan and all her friends, she saw how their pasts were and how she made false assumptions about them. This shows that you should be aware of the past to make a better future.
