Can You Escape

Even though the border guards made it seem impossible to escape the Berlin Wall, a good handful of people did escape to the other side of Germany underground. I found a true narrative from the German author Klaus Klein, who actually did go under the wall and escaped to West Germany. He said it was a terrifying experience, but he was happy to be free.
