Academic Lab
Academic Lab meets during the 4th block on “Blue” days and provides an opportunity for students to meet with their teachers for individual help during the school day.
Opportunities available to students during Academic Lab:
· Getting help from teachers
· Making up assignments
· Utilizing resources of the library and computer labs by signing up ahead of time
· Studying
· Meeting with counselors and administrators
· Student meetings
Expectations and Procedures:
1. Academic Lab teachers will take attendance and issue citizenship grades.
2. Students may not leave campus during Academic Lab.
3. Teachers should know where students will spend their time during AcLab. Students must indicate the teacher/place they plan to visit in Responsive Scheduling before leaving the lab.
4. Students are to remain in their chosen MOD for the entirety of the MOD.
7. Students who remain in their Academic Lab classrooms must work quietly and respect other’s need to do the same.
8. Students who do not meet these guidelines/expectations risk losing their Academic Lab privileges and may receive other disciplinary consequences.
9. Teachers needing to see specific students should use Responsive Scheduling to add the student to their roster.
10. Students who are assigned to Grounded Academic Lab may not travel.
