Worship

Where Everyone is Loved, Where Everyone Belongs

Sunday Morning Worship In-Person and Online

At Parkville Presbyterian Church, everyone is loved and everyone belongs.

No matter who you are, who you love, or how you dress, you are welcome in our circle. At PPC, we are a group of people on a spiritual journey–seeking God through prayer, community service, acts of care and love, and asking the deep questions together.

We would love for you to join us on the journey.

Join us as we worship God in the sanctuary every Sunday morning at 10am.

If you prefer to worship online, you can view the live worship service online at www.parkvillepresby.org/worship

You can also view our archive of past worship services, sermons, and music any time at: www.parkvillepresby.org/watch.

Whoever you are and however you join us: you are welcome! Let us worship God together!

Worship

Like many other things in these unprecedented times, the nature of worship is changing at Parkville Presbyterian Church. For one thing, worship is not necessarily confined to the church sanctuary on Sunday morning.

At this time, we have found that online worship is essential to reaching our community It’s one of the many things we are learning to offer that we should have been doing all along. Thanks to the volunteers who record the worship service, edit it together, play music, and support worship in other ways, we are able to craft a profound, meaningful worship service each week and make it available online. Worship is available live online on Sunday mornings at 10am at: www.parkvillepresby.org/worship. Our archive of worship service, sermons, and music is available at: www.parkvillepresby.org/watch

No matter how worship is offered or where you are when you experience it, our services reflect an ancient and timeless tradition. They are designed to build up to and respond to the Word of God, proclaimed in Scripture, sermon, and song–and to send us out into the world, ready to live the Word in our community.

As Presbyterians, we affirm that we are ‘Reformed and always being re-formed' by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. We are especially open to the voice of the Spirit as it moves among us–listening, watching, and working, alongside the God who is “doing a new thing” (Isaiah 43:19).

You can join us in this new thing—by working with technology, setting the space, reading Scripture, or some other way of bringing worship to life, contact the church office to get involved!

Music

Music at Parkville Presbyterian Church is diverse and alive. On any given Sunday, you may hear Beethoven, experience a modern praise song, or pray alongside one of the great, classic hymns of the Christian tradition. In worship, as in all things, we seek to be a people who are rooted in our heritage, but also listening and speaking to the world around us.

There are many ways to participate in the music ministry of PPC. Those with instrumental talents are deeply valued in this age. People who can sing as soloists or in small groups bring life and joy to worship. Today, our musical efforts are led by music director, Dr. Sarah Lyons, and choir director, Dorothy Glick Maglione. We are striving to continue our tradition of diversity, creativity, and life in worship music… come join the fun!
