Children

Kids are central to the life of Parkville Presbyterian. Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3), and we take that seriously (and humorously). We not only strive to contribute to the faith formation of our kids, but to let them contribute to ours, as they teach us to be more like them.

Opportunities for kids at PPC abound. During Sunday morning worship, they are front and center during the Time for Young Disciples. We also have Sunday School for all ages from 9:00 am to 9:40 am, which begins with the kids gathering in one place to sing and praise God together.

Kids are essential to other parts of our community life, as well, whether it’s during a special event where their fun and formation is central— like the Easter Egg Hunt and Trunk-or-Treat — or in the many mission and service activities where they play key roles. PPC kids have participated in the work of the Heifer Project, Fuller Center Global Builders, Church World Service, and our own SPEAC Food Pantry. At PPC, your kids will give, serve, and learn; grow, teach, and love.
