Activity 1

It is really important that you keep practising for fine motor skills. This will help you with many things including cutting with a scissors and your handwriting.

Why not make this slime? Playing with it will strengthen your fingers.

We love play dough! Did you know you can make it at home?

Follow this recipe to make your own play dough.

Once your play dough is ready we would like you try and make as many numbers as you can from it just like in the picture.

Who can make the most numbers with their play dough?

Who can make the biggest number?

Don't forget to email pictures of you making your play dough numbers to the school!

Activity 3

Ask a grown up to put knots in sting and ribbons for you to untie. This is a very tricky task.

One of your teachers had a go at this task. I think she needs more practice!

To complete this task you will need a pot, a peg, a timer and lots of little items such as pasta or craft pom poms.

How many items can you get in to the pot in 1 minute using a peg?

This activity helps both our fine motor skills and our number recognition.

Ask an adult to write some numbers in cupcake cases. Then using either tweezers or a peg place the correct number of pom pom, pasta or any other small objects you have into the cupcake case.

You can turn this activity into a competition. You could play against an adult or a brother or sister and see who can take them off the fastest.

The perfect activity for hot weather!

Freeze some paint in the ice cube trays then add lolly pop sticks.

Once they are frozen it's time to get creative!

This is a really simple activity to set up and also helps with spelling!

Place flour, sand, rice, sugar or lentils in to a flat tray. Use your finger or a paintbrush to practise your spelling.
