Design Concept

The motivation for Snug & Outdoor, the designers behind Snug, came from observing how bleak and barren environments can create aggressive and stressed children

This Snug concept is the result of a fifteen year process of research and evaluation into the way that children behave, react and play in specific environments. The inclusion of the kit into schools allows children to develop new ways of playing and encourages creativity, social interaction and cooperation

We recommend starting with a Snug kit, which has the right quantities to allow children to experiment with, and enjoy all elements and combinations.The Maximums is the largest of our Snug Kit product, additional elements are the medium loop and the mound. The loop comprises of modular elements that join together to create undulating and curvaceous play structures. The mound is made up of ramps, quadrants, slabs & a platform that can dramatically alter the playground landscape.Additional elements can then be bought individually depending on popularity, usage and the setting.Suitable for 40-50 children.

Snug Core

SGK804 Suitable for all types of surfacing

We recommend starting with a Snug kit, which has the right quantities to allow children to experiment with, and enjoy all elements and combinations. Additional elements can then be bought individually depending on popularity, usage and the setting.The Core Kit comprises of all the key play elements of Snug but omits the larger items of the Maximums, these can be added at a later date when required. It has more items than the Elemental Kit, which is the the entry level kit, so it offers more play opportunities.Suitable for 20-30 children.

We recommend starting with a Snug kit, which has the right quantities to allow children to experiment with, and enjoy all elements and combinations.The Intermediate Kit has the added element of the small loop that encourages balancing games and constructed environments. It also creates a natural social space. Used with smaller items such as balls and hoops the Intermediate Kit stimulates natural exercise and embodies fundamental movement skills.Additional Snug elements can be purchased individually depending on popularity, usage and the setting.Suitable for 20 – 30 children.
