PBB has a contractual obligation to deliver 95% of all funded peer support group meetings. And we have a moral obligation to provide continual support to attendees.
If a scheduled Facilitator is unable to run a meeting (due to illness, work, family, or any other reason), the meeting must still go ahead in some form to provide support for local attendees, and meet funding requirements.
If the in-person meeting cannot proceed, an online alternative will always be provided for local attendees so the service is never cancelled. This quick-reference guide provides Facilitators with what to do if they cannot run their scheduled in-person peer support group.
As soon as you know you cannot attend, immediately contact:
Your State Manager, and
HQ Operations (Phil Lamport & JD Knight).
Use SMS or Blink - do not rely on email alone.
Operations will check:
Is there an existing online meeting with a similar start time that local members can join?
If yes - local attendees will be directed there.
If no - HQ Operations will:
• Create a new online meeting starting at the same time as your scheduled in-person meeting
• Assign a Facilitator to host it
Local group members will be notified immediately via the group’s WhatsApp chat with:
The new online meeting link
The usual local group sign-in code
By following these steps, the meeting still counts toward our 95% delivery target and no local attendee misses out on support.
