Sundown: Equinox is the opening tournament of the series each year held on a Saturday in September.
Equinox is designed as a preseason tournament, similar to preseason events in other sports, to allow advisors/coaches to evaluate their rosters, promote their programs, and recruit players from their respective schools.
The format will feature a 3v3 crew battle (single elim), singles (double elimination bracket), and an amateur bracket (single elim). Varsity and junior varsity crew brackets will be offered.
Rocket League will be played at this event as well for 2025.
This tournament is open to all schools whether they are AIA member schools or otherwise.

Sundown: Voyager is an open, remote tournament hosted at a partner institution on a Saturday in October. The goal of Sundown: Voyager is to bring the Sundown competitive experience to schools in other parts of Arizona who may not be able to make it to a Sundown event hosted at Paradise Valley Community College. Voyager is a preseason tournament, similar to preseason events in other sports, that allows coaches to evaluate their rosters, promote their programs, and recruit players from their respective schools.
Host schools are allowed to set up fundraising opportunities, including Booster Club concessions and other options, during Sundown: Voyager.
The format will feature a 3v3 crew battle (single elim), singles (double elimination bracket), and an amateur bracket (single elim). Varsity and junior varsity crew brackets will be offered.
This tournament is open to all schools whether they are AIA member schools or otherwise.

This is an open tournament. All players in an Arizona high school are welcome to attend, including schools with Esports programs. Players without programs may register individually. Coaches may register their entire team.

The format will feature a 3v3 crew battle (single elim), singles (double elimination bracket), and an amateur bracket (single elim). A doubles side bracket will also run at this tournament (no points or medals for this bracket). Varsity and junior varsity crew brackets will be offered.
Rocket League will be played at this tournament for 2026.
This tournament is open only to AIA member schools as it takes place during the AIA Championship Season and is a sanctioned AIA event.

Sundown: Heat Wave is a series of invitational tournaments hosted during the months of June and July.
This tournament series (3 tournaments) is an invitation-only tournament series. Coaches and/or identified players will be contacted prior to the end of the school year but after AIA finals. Invitations may also be extended to join Stargazers Academy, Puma Esports' forthcoming recruiting platform for Arizona and regional Esports student-gamers. Players will compete with current Puma Esports players and incoming freshmen. If players are considering Puma Esports as their collegiate destination for Esports, they should look to play in Sundown: Heat Wave, join Stargazers Academy (upon launch), and fill out the Puma Esports Recruitment form.
