Welcome to Sundown, a competitive Super Smash Brothers Ultimate series for Arizona high school Esports programs.

If you are an advisor or coach, this series is designed to help you promote your program, recruit players, and evaluate your rosters going into AIA competition. The series features three preseason tournaments (Equinox in September, Voyager in October, and Solstice in November), two AIA sanctioned in-season tournaments (Gemini in February and North Star in April), and a summer invitational series (Heat Wave in June and July).

The series is open to all high school Esports players, whether you have an Esports program at your school or not, IN THE FALL. In the spring of each year, Sundown is limited to competition for AIA member schools ONLY.

Sundown is a terrific way to begin building a program. Athletic directors interested in developing an Esports program for possible AIA competition and building interest in the program can use Sundown as a beginning point in the fall and, after joining AIA for the regular season in the spring, as a point for further competition.
