COVID-19 PVCC Student Reporting Information

When, Where, & Who to Report:

When to report? IMMEDIATELY for any of the following conditions

  • As soon as COVID like symptoms appear (no matter how minor)

  • As soon as you are notified that you had a potential exposure.

  • If you are asymptomatic but decide to test, report as soon as you get a positive diagnosis.

Where to report? All three of these places:

  1. Email all your instructors

  2. Email: covid19-reports@paradisevalley.edu

  3. Report at https://together.maricopa.edu/covid-19-reporting

Which form to fill out:

DO NOT:

  • Wait until you test for COVID-19 to report.

  • Wait until you receive your test results to report.

  • Do not automatically return to campus, if a negative test result.

We are confident in our cleaning procedures, but letting us know if you’ve been on campus while sick will allow us to apply extra steps to those spaces which have been exposed.

Learning Success Center & Math Center

Did you know studies show that students who reach out for academic assistance are likely to have a cumulative GPA a full letter grade higher than college students that don’t seek out tutoring?

PVCC's Learning Success Center can help you:

  • Manage time more effectively

  • Improve college reading, comprehension, and note-taking

  • Acquire ideas for study skills and test preparation

  • Learn to work collaboratively in groups

  • Discover strategies for learning, practicing, and reinforcing class material

  • Understand how to apply academic resources to classes

  • Apply college-level study skills to learning

The LSC tutors will help reinforce concepts and information taught in class, and also assist you with referrals to useful areas such as Financial Aid, Buxton Library, Career Services and more.

*See Success by Design's packet of resources for the LSC's Fall 2021 schedule.

The Learning Success Center and the Math Center

What is the difference between the LSC and the Math Center?

The LSC offers tutoring in most classes, including math. The Math Center provides tutoring and embedded tutoring, with tutors participating in classes. You should use either or both, whichever you prefer!

Learning Success Center

Live tutoring and success coaching are available online through Cranium Café. These brief videos for the LSC and the Math Center show you how to find tutors and success coaches online in Cranium Café. You can find more information about the LSC on our website or by calling us at (602) 787-7180. For help with the Math Center, go to the website or call (602) 787-7740.

The Math Center, in the Q building, encourages students to stop by for tutoring after their math classes. The MC also rents calculators to students for $20 a semester and provides instructional testing for online students. Students have access to four study rooms in the MC for student use as well as informal learning areas around the Q building. Currently, the Math Center is offering in-person and virtual tutoring. Our schedule is located on our website. Please visit the Math Center website at and click on the link for tutoring schedule.

We want you to do your best, and we have great tutors and success coaches who can help you succeed! Please let Mary Early (mary.early@paradisevalley.edu) or Tereza Dominguez (tereza.dominguez@paradisevalley.edu) know if you have any questions or learning support needs.
