The Mathematics department organise the curriculum into seven key areas: numbers, algebra, ratio, proportion and rates of change, geometry and measure, probability and statistics.
In lessons, we provide questions that are designed to be varied, from straightforward operations to multi-step questions that students are likely to meet at GCSE.
The English department offers a broad and diverse curriculum built upon an ethos of creation and exploration, giving the students the skills they need to succeed.
We study a range of different texts, which are picked to challenge and inspire our learners. Throughout their time with us, learners are encouraged to analyse, create and critique ideas in order for them to become well rounded learners.
The Science department provide students with opportunities to develop a solid theoretical and practical basis for the further study of Biology, Physics and Chemistry. All science activities and lessons are designed to stimulate students to enhance their scientific knowledge and interest. Topics studied are wide ranging and include; 'the structure and function of the human body'; 'the nature of matter'; and 'the universe and beyond'.
