What is a School Psychologist?

  • A school psychologist works to help students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally and emotionally. School psychologists collaborate and work with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff members to ensure a positive school experience.

  • Some day-to-day responsibilities include: assessment, consultation, prevention, intervention, education, and mental health services including counseling and advocacy.
