At Panorama Elementary, students who do not identify as White or Asian feel that we can improve the way that we treat students from different backgrounds. This makes me think about professional development for adults. My school's TFI report shows that we scored 1 (partially implemented) for feature 1.7, Professional Development.Â
An audit of our PD calendar shows that we devote 90% of our professional development toward building teacher's content knowledge and instructional practices. We might rethink our PD scope and sequence to include equity topics too!
