Palmdale School District's Teacher Induction Program & Support (TIPS) has received it's accreditation by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. TIPS is a member of the local Antelope Valley Collaborative on Teacher Development and California Teacher Induction Region, Cluster 6.

The hallmark of TIPS is mentorship support via a trained mentor and job-embedded professional learning. With inquiry as its focus, candidates enhance their ability to become a highly qualified and effective practitioner. Current research finds indicate that the knowledge of teaching practices, student learning outcomes, standards-based subject matter content and the ability to reflect on one's own practice are the strongest predictors of student success and teacher professional growth.
