Individual Learning Plan

Your Individual Induction Plan is the key document that shows your growth as an educator. The ILP is comprised of three sections. It is designed to tell the teacher’s story of learning and growth development toward consistent instructional practice that displays mastery of the California Standards of the Teaching Profession (CSTPs). TIPS teachers and their mentors  work collaboratively during the Induction experience to discover latent strengths in practice, define an area of focus, and  clearly articulate his/her dream of ideal practice that will serve as the focus of TIPS Induction.

The candidate’s ILP will articulate one overarching learning/performance goal to be of focus during the two-year Induction experience.  It  reflects the inquiries conducted by the candidate in pursuit of that goal, and documents the resources, professional development, reflection and learning.   Results of the candidate’s Inquiries in professional learning, reflection, and growth in CSTP instructional practices will be presented at both the Palmdale School District’s Colloquium and Mid/End Program interviews. Professional growth in the CSTPs will be reflected in the Continuum of Teaching Practice documents.
