Project Successes

Partnerships with many community organizations including: Northend RISE, Lyrae Group, City of West Palm Beach, Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, Health Care District of Palm Beach County, Economic Council of Palm Beach County, Purpose Built Communities, TeamWork USA, and Resource Depot.

Held three community input meetings to share information about the Innovative School and gather families’ priorities.

Over-allocation of District funds to provide a new Band teacher, music supplies, and PD for Roosevelt Teachers

Additional internal funds to purchase $70,000 of furniture for K-2 classrooms

Allocation of an additional PreK classroom

Numerous presentations to the Business Development Board

A comprehensive written Guide for Deeper-Learning Innovative Schools in the Public Setting shared with the teachers.

Development of Mentor/Mentee Professional Development Plan - The Mentor/Mentee support framework provided for participants in the Innovative Schools project allows new to project-based learning and arts integration educators to have a seasoned partner-teacher to connect with and learn from in this new experience.

Inquiry Project Collaborative Summer Training at The Conservatory School: Summer 2022

• Ongoing mentoring program for new teachers to the Inquiry/Project Based Learning process

70 instruments donated by TeamWork USA through the Instrument Music Program Grant (IMP)

$12,000 donation from the Quantum Foundation to provide teacher resources and “loose parts” from Resource Depot

Facility refresh and renovation: Summer 2022
