The JMS Wind Ensemble is comprised of the finest wind & percussion instrumentalists in our school. They represent our school in many different facets. They perform in events like the Veteran's Day Concert, the Florida Bandmasters Music Performance Assessments and national music festivals (from New York to Atlanta).

Students in this group have demonstrated a high level of musicianship. Their musicianship was demonstrated by performing 7 major scales, demonstrating great character in school, developing a characteristic tone quality on their instrument and in some cases, taking private lessons with professional music educators.

The Wind Ensemble has carried on a legacy of high quality performances in and out of the state of Florida. We are the "Guardians of the Sacred Flame" started by some of the greatest music educators in the state of Florida. Until this day, JMS has been watched over by great band directors like Randy Sonntag, Wayne Miller and Paul Destito. They pop in from time to time to help us continue this great legacy.
