Dear BAND PARENTS!
I HIGHLY encourage you to send your advancing musician to a SUMMER BAND CAMP! Kids that go to a music camp meet NEW FRIENDS that they have something special in common with! They often take a current friend along with them, but sometimes they go alone and they are immediately surrounded by great kids and have amazing experiences. There are QUITE a few Great Camps. Some are day camps, and some are sleepaway camps! Some are in Palm Beach County, and several are out of county and out of state. . My own children have attended the First Pres Summer Music Conservatory. I'll list a few for you and give you websites on this email.
PALM BEACH COUNTY BAND CAMP - SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE APRIL 1ST...check it out.
JAZZ CAMP June 13-17 9:00 - 4:00
BAND CAMP June 20-30 9:00 - 3:00
LEADERSHIP CAMP June 13-17 3:30-7:30 P.M. (for High School Band Leadership - drum majors, etc)
(Held at Dreyfoos SOTA, Mrs. Murray and myself will be working at this camp.)

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH SUMMER MUSIC CAMP - 1 week camp with Concert on Friday
This is a Professional Music Camp that is held at the church, but it is not a religious camp per say.
Myself, Mr. Destito, Mrs. Murray, Ms. Trina, and many more professional teachers are teaching at this camp.

FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY MUSIC CAMPS - I believe they have scholarships for All State Students. Check it out!

You can also try Brevard and Interlochen and Boston University's Tanglewood Institute for higher end auditioned camps as your children progress.
GO TO A SUMMER MUSIC CAMP! You'll come back being a better player and happy to meet new kiddos! Many end up at All County Band and All State Band!
