Palm Beach Therapeutic Recreation Center (TREC)
The Therapeutic recreation Center is committed to enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families, and thereby increasing the public's knowledge and sensitivity. This mission will be accomplished through the provision and facilitation of:
Adaptive recreation programs that promote leisure and play
Training and skill development
Resource and referral services
Community awareness and education
The mission of Arts4All Florida is to provide, support and champion arts education and cultural experiences for and by people with disabilities. Our vision is to create a world in which the arts are universally accessible.
Special Olympics Florida is to provides year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for people with intellectual disabilities who wish to participate, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Deliver the Dream has been around since 2002 providing therapeutic programs to families facing a serious illness, crisis or disability. Our programs restore hope, strengthen relationships and change perspectives to provide inspiration for the future.
Equine Assisted Therapies of South Florida
Equine-Assisted Therapies of South Florida (EATSF), located in Coconut Creek, is dedicated to providing therapeutic riding and equine activities to children and adults with special needs so that they may improve physically, mentally and emotionally.
As part of the Boca Hoops Recretion Basketball Program, High-5 Basketball is designed to enable children with disabilities to participate in the game of basketball. Players must be registerd between the ages of 9 - 22. There is not a maximum age once a player is registered.
Love Serving Autism’s mission is to expand life skills, especially functional communication, through multidisciplinary specialized racquet sports instruction to increase community inclusion and independence of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Challenges. The goal is for participants to apply their newly learned skills throughout the community, including school, workplace, social/recreational gatherings, and home settings. We provide training and education to coaches, certified speech/occupational/physical/ABA therapists and volunteers for an adaptive and inclusive recreational therapeutic specialization.
Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center, located in Loxahatchee, serves people with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities of all ages in Palm Beach County. Six programs are offered providing the benefits of equine assisted activities and therapies.
The Miracle League of Palm Beach County
The Miracle League of Palm Beach County, located at Miller Park in Delray Beach, provides opportunities for all children with disabilities to play baseball.
Whole Vibes Music Therapy and Lessons
To develop singing and musical skills in kids & adults with disabilities and exceptionalities.
To promote self-confidence and self-esteem in kids & adults with special needs while preparing for and executing performances.
To engage kids & adults with special needs with their preferred method of communication and developing their ability to express themselves.
To create a community for junior & adults with special needs to engage with their peers in a non-threatening and socially enhancing atmosphere.
