These are examples of student profiles that are considered for the AVID Elective. Students can meet TWO or all of the criterias listed below:
Motivated to learn, grow, and succeed academically and in life (MUST).
In the academic middle, preferred.
First Generation College Graduate, preferred.
Economically disadvantaged.
Special circumstances: Single Parent Home, Foster Child, Divorced parents, Homelessness, ESOL, ESE...
The following elements will be considered as well to determine applicants' eligibility for acceptance in the AVID Elective class.

7th & 8th-Grade Applicants:

The deadline to schedule your interview is April 19, 2021, at 3:00 pm.
Only new applicants must schedule an interview. Click here to to request it.
Online interviews will be held from April 26-30 during one of your elective courses.
Interviews are approximately 10-15 minutes long.
Faculty members conduct in-person and virtual interviews.
Interviews are only for students, not parents.
