The time is here, and testing season is upon us. These tests determine your placement for next year and following years, and it is important to make sure you do well! Around campus there are multiple resources available to each and every student to help prepare.
Math Lab
Math lab is a very popular lunchtime study group hosted in Mrs. Miller’s room (9-109) on Tuesdays and Thursdays during both lunches.
Students from all grade levels can get a pass from their math teacher to go and study math with other teachers and students to help prepare for an exam, test, or even an EOC. This activity is very helpful to students and has been very helpful to students trying to pass their math EOCs.
Going into the math lab you can expect to be greeted by Mrs. Miller, one of the Geometry and Algebra teachers, as well as other teachers who volunteer to help tutor during this lunch period. You can also expect to see some of your peers there studying or even help tutor.
SAT Prep
The SAT is an Incredibly crucial test that most colleges require in order for the application process to begin. The SAT is also a very lengthy test as well as being academically challenging, so it is important to start practicing as early as you can!
2024 will be the first year the SAT is fully digital and will debut on March 6, 2024.
According to Mrs. Stevens, an English teacher for 12th grade “Students should start studying for the SAT the summer before their junior year, but we are just trying to get them prepared as much as possible right now.” So it is important to make sure you study far in advance before taking the SAT.
This after school study group is led by none other than Mrs. Stevens in portable 2. Unfortunately this event is coming to an end in march, but keep in mind for next year that for a small price you can prepare for the SAT.
