Second Step Lessons Provided by Delphi Rise

We partner with Delphi Rise to teach Second Step Social Emotional Lessons to fulfill SEL requirements by New York State. The four core units taught at all grades K-2 include: Skills for Learning, Empathy, Problem Solving, and Communication. Weekly classroom lessons focus on fostering increased self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationships, and decision-making skills!
Erin's Law Lessons provided by Bivona Staff
We partner with the Bivona Child Advocacy Center to teach the Erin's Law lessons that are required by New York State. This law requires public schools to teach child sexual abuse and exploitation prevention classes to students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Attached below is information regarding what will be taught, as well as resources for parents to use with their students at home.
Responsive Classroom provided by all teachers/staff
Responsive classroom is an evidence-based approach to teaching that focuses on engaging academics, positive community, effective management and developmental awareness. Social emotional learning opportunities are integrated into our daily school language, First 6 Weeks Program, classroom agreements, morning meetings/closing circles, and classroom lessons/activities to support all of our students!
